Regulation & Taxation of Digital Assets – Panel Discussion

With blockchain technology on a fast-track to mainstream adoption, we are looking to welcome many newcomers to the space. While most of the attention is currently on Bitcoin, we believe many will discover Ethereum and other Proof-of-Stake networks soon after. Major drivers for this are DeFi and staking as they offer token holders lucrative ways to earn through their digital assets. In addition to speculation, these assets can now be put to work and a whole financial ecosystem is emerging at rapid speed.

While this is very exciting, it oftentimes leaves participants wondering about regulatory topics – this holds true for newcomers and crypto veterans alike. Regulatory issues regarding digital assets such as taxation are relevant for many different stakeholders – retail and institutional investors as well as entrepreneurs and established businesses looking to enter this exciting new space. There’s a lot of uncertainty, superficial knowledge, and many open questions about the regulation and taxation of digital assets.

To address these questions, we are co-hosting a panel discussion on the ‘Regulation & Taxation of Digital Assets’ initiated by EBA member Staking Facilities. We are very pleased to have the following three experts on the panel. Since they have broad expertise in the field of blockchain technology, they can address the questions of the different stakeholders:

– Dr. Markus Kaulartz, Counsel at CMS Hasche Sigle
– Werner Hoffmann, CEO & Co-Founder of Pekuna
– Florian Wimmer, CEO & Co-Founder of Blockpit

The event will take place on Tuesday, March 2nd, 6:15 PM CET through wonder.me. You can join for free via this link:
