THE ORACLE ISSUE
DeFi is on a bull run. In terms of value locked up in DeFi applications, number of users and value of tokens and the amount of teams supplying data – the developments are impressive. While the ecosystem is making leaps in adoption, we need to make sure that our data foundation can support this sustainably.
Oracles are the lifeline of the entire DeFi ecosystem – no DeFi project can live without data. While the recent growth brings validation of the space, the oracle landscape is being scrutinised more and more. The current offering landscape is well equipped to support initial adoption, yet there are some essential hurdles and a broad range of approaches to overcome them.
In this discussion we will discuss current issues and the way forward.
